One of the challenges for one to study new knowledge is the barrier that one gets from having to learn in particular standardized way that one were forced to comply with. This would typically happen when you participated in a one-way, mass-audience training.
While it is true that most practical training method is the ones that are well-structured and standardized, and such would be best delivered in a one-way model to cover vast knowledge sharing, it may not be as effective for one individual when they are pursuing a new knowledge or certification in a certain tight timeline. Following such standardized class training may even become the barrier for them to achieve their goal faster.
Another would also feel that there are barriers in age. Professionals who have been used to doing something in their work for too many monotonous years are prejudiced to be irreceptive to new concepts and knowledge.
However, we are a firm believer that each individual have their own unique pace (which can be accelerated!) and underlying emotional motivation that needs triggering to alleviate these learning barriers.
Each learners needs more immersion to the subject at hand, and this can be achieved by number of ways and throughout the class they are following:

- Discuss familiarities to their industry (i.e: Giving relatable real-life examples)
- Understood by the cultural background / Adaptive communication style (two-way)
- Feeling encouraged to be outspoken & critical
- Gets follow-through each question down to the resolution
In this sense, the class interaction would become more intense. Trainers becomes more involved to the Trainee's end goal to achieve their certification. And the guidance given becomes unlimited to the technical knowledge sharing by the textbook, rather is greater than that, covering up to the full preparation of the non-technicalities readiness. A mentorship is more fitting term. Reflected by having deeper connection and invested more time commitment toward achieveing mentees' goal. Your goal.
